These elections are important in building up our profile for the Mayoralty and consolidating the gains of the general election.
Independent polling showed the Liberal Democrats as probable largest party in both East and West Sussex had May’s elections taken place, and indeed Surrey. But note the threat of Reform, which is why we’ve focussed on Kent and Folkestone & Hythe. Labour won the seat at the general election, though they only took 1,000 votes than they did in 2019. The Tory vote split three ways, most staying at home, leaving Reform only 600 votes behind them. Our last visit to Tim Prater’s target seat, Crediton, Sandgate and Hythe East, will be eve of poll on 30th April. Contact Andrew on 07941 693737.
