Kate Lamb is the Lib Dem candidate standing in the Eastern Rother By-election. Kate's strong commitment to improving the lives and prospects of local people will offer voters the chance to make a real difference on issues affecting Eastern Rother

Now, more than ever, it's important that Eastern Rother chooses someone who really understands the issues that affect our lives here. Somebody who can rise to the challenges posed by rural and cross-border crime and the seemingly relentless threats to road safety in our area. Kate also knows that many local people share her commitment to protecting the environment and managing tourism.

Kate is standing in this election because she believes in more choices for voters who are tired of divisive and adversarial tactics. A successful business career has taught her the importance of financial prudence but

she wants more than the ad hoc cost cutting that has made our lives more precarious - she believes quality of life and opportunity are just as important.

Kate's background in managing organisations through change means that she is experienced in listening to people, understanding the issue and finding solutions that not only resolve immediate problems but also create a framework for long term success. Her experience would broaden and strengthen the Rother Alliance and make a difference for Eastern Rother.

Kate lives in East Guldeford, is a consultant HR Director who enjoys an active village life, organising events and looking after the medieval church.
